The Italian Film Society dates back to 1915 and was founded by the Walturdaw company, which sold film equipment and distributed Italian silent films in the 10's and 20's in London. A small group of Italians and British meet monthly at their headquarters at 3 Dean Street in High Holborn. Among the films they screened was the legendary Quo Vadis, an Italian silent film that was shown all over the world.
